3N/4D Hornbill Festival 2025
Day 1 — Guwahati → Kohima / Khonoma

Welcome to Northeast by our representative at Guwahati Airport/ Railway station. Drive to Kohima / Khonoma (approx 343 km — 7–8 hrs via NH27/SH; scenic tea-belt and hills). Check-in and overnight stay in Kohima/Khonoma.

Day 2 — Hornbill Festival (Kisama Heritage Village)

After breakfast, full day at the Hornbill Festival (Kisama Heritage Village — festival venue ~12 km from Kohima; festival programs & Hornbill Night Carnival run daily). Enjoy tribal performances, crafts bazaar, traditional food & evening cultural concerts. Overnight in Kohima/Khonoma.

Day 3 — Kisama Heritage Village & Kohima local sightseeing

After breakfast, Morning revisit to Kisama / explore additional festival events. Afternoon Kohima local sights: Kohima War Cemetery, local markets, and Khonoma (green village) cultural walk. Overnight Kohima.

Day 4 — Kohima → Guwahati (Departure)

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive back to Guwahati. Drive back to Guwahati for onward flight/rail connections. Tour ends on arrival at Guwahati untill you become our #HappyDestinatian again. (Approx. 7–8 hrs of journey to Guwahati depending on traffic/route.)

Day 1 — Arrival in Guwahati • Drive to Kohima / Khonoma (O/N Kohima/Khonoma)

Welcome to Northeast by our representative at Guwahati Airport/ Railway station and drive to Kohima or Khonoma (approx. 8–9 hrs / 350 km). Enjoy scenic mountain views and charming villages en route. Check in to your hotel or homestay and relax.

Day 2: Full-Day Hornbill Festival Experience

Attend the world-famous Hornbill Festival at Kisama Heritage Village. Witness vibrant tribal dances, cultural shows, craft bazaars, and Naga cuisine. Spend the evening enjoying local performances and night bazaars before returning to your stay in Kohima/Khonoma.

Day 3: Kohima to Kaziranga National Park

After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park (approx. 7–8 hrs). Check in to your stay in Kaziranga surrounded by nature. In the evening, you can explore local Assamese culture or attend cultural shows (direct payment). Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 4: Safari & Orchid Park Visit at Kaziranga

Enjoy an early-morning Elephant Safari followed by an afternoon Jeep Safari to spot the one-horned rhinoceros and other wildlife (we can arrange the same at extra cost). Visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park and enjoy local dance shows in the evening (optional). Overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 5: Kaziranga to Guwahati – Departure

After breakfast, drive to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station (approx. 4–5 hrs). Your memorable Hornbill Festival 2025 and Kaziranga tour concludes with vibrant memories of Nagaland’s culture and Assam’s wilderness.

Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati and Transfer to Dimapur / Kohima

Your journey begins at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, the main gateway to Northeast India. From here, embark on a scenic drive to Dimapur or Kohima, the heart of Nagaland. The winding roads reveal lush green valleys and rolling hills, setting the perfect backdrop for your adventure. On arrival, check into your hotel in Kohima or Dimapur and relax after the journey. The evening is free to explore local markets or enjoy a quiet dinner. Overnight stay in Kohima / Dimapur.

Day 2: Dimapur to Kisama – Explore Naga Heritage Village

After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong village and Dawki. Enroute visit Elephant
falls. Later visit single-decker root bridge in Riwai village and balancing rock in
Mawlynnong. On the way to Dawki, enjoy boating (on direct payment basis) in
Umangot river (which is also known as Tamabil in Bangladesh). Later drive back
to Shillong and night stay at Shillong.

Travel to Kisama Heritage Village, the venue for the Hornbill Festival 2025. Witness authentic Naga tribal architecture, morungs, handicrafts, and traditional artifacts. Learn about the customs of the 17 Naga tribes and enjoy interactions with local artisans. Return to your accommodation in Kisama or Kohima for the night.

Day 3: Full-day Hornbill Festival Experience

Spend the entire day at the Hornbill Festival, Nagaland’s grandest cultural event. Experience lively tribal dances, folk music, traditional sports, and colorful displays of Naga culture. Explore food stalls, handicraft exhibitions, and evening carnival festivities that celebrate the rich heritage of Nagaland. Overnight stay in Kisama, Khonoma, or Kohima.

Day 4: Excursion to Dzukou Valley

Depart for the Dzukou Valley, a paradise known for wildflowers, lush green meadows, and serene trekking trails. Explore the valley at leisure and enjoy nature photography or short hikes amidst breathtaking landscapes. Return to Kohima for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Kohima to Kaziranga National Park

Drive to Kaziranga National Park, Assam, renowned for the Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros and diverse wildlife. Enjoy the lush countryside and scenic views en route. Check in to your resort in Kaziranga and spend the evening at leisure.

 

Day 6: Kaziranga Safari & Orchidarium Visit

Begin your day with an early morning jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park. Spot rhinos, elephants, and exotic birds in their natural habitat followed by elephant safari ( available for direct payment). Later, visit Kaziranga Orchidarium, showcasing over 600 orchid species. Return to your resort for overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure from Kaziranga to Guwahati

After breakfast, transfer back to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Depending on your schedule, you may explore Kamakhya Temple or enjoy local shopping before departure. End your 7-day cultural and wildlife adventure with memories of Nagaland’s Hornbill Festival and Assam’s pristine landscapes.
